It is my Bloggaversary! A Year of Reflection. Things to know and What I Have Learned!

Hi there friends,

It has been a year, as of yesterday, that I uploaded my blog to the world wide web. I purchased a domain, bought a subscription to Wix and began reading up on how to blog. At first this was just a place I wrote without an audience. Now I don't have much of a following but more readers than before. It has been a year.

Here are some things I would like to reflect on and perhaps aid some wisdom to you all.

1. Learn from others

I read and I followed as many bloggers as I could. Not one form works for you as it did for me. I am constantly still learning.

2. Don't count on this being your income in the beginning.

So I have a full time job so I did not count on this as income. I am not as fortunate as some bloggers to have their blog be their main source of income. I use it as a learning platform for all those who seek career, mental health, and other advice. At first I wanted it to be tips in the work world but as I have gone forward, I wanted to make it an all around platform for topics I wish I had growing up and still seek to this day. One day making money on it would be great but that is not my main focus.

3. Set goals

It is important to set goals for your blog or website and to have a clear vision for its future.

MAINLY I want to continue to use my blog as a freedom of speech for myself and if others want to read it, then that is marvelous! I want to continue to discuss topics but be authentic in the way I deliver them. If I want to discuss mental health, religion, work life, being plus sized, etc. then that is up to me and NO ONE else!

I look forward to thinking of new content to share with you. I may not be as consistent as others but I will do my best as I continue to learn!

Until next time!
