Motivational Mondays: Seeing Through the Fog
Welcome to my first ever MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY! I am going to try to make this a regular thing!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well this morning it is a foggy morning. When I left my house there was no fog, and the closer I got to work the foggier it got. Fog is hard to see in and drive in. Sometimes you can only see a few feet in front of you.
With depression, anxiety, or any "issue", we tend to think that some of our days can best be explained or described as a "foggy day". A lot of the time it is easier said than done to just "cheer up" or "put on a smile", sometimes we fake it so much we don't really feel true happiness.
How do we break through the fog?
Fog separates throughout the day, it doesn't always last a full 24 hours, so why should we feel our foggy day for a full 24 hours?
Most of the time (from my personal experience) I find that breaking up the monotony of our daily activities is a huge help! For instance, when I am feeling depressed or in my "fog" I go for a drive or I stop watching my shows and pull out a book. The simplest of activities help us break up our negative routines. Here are some ideas for you:
Do a load of dishes
Fold that pile of laundry
Go for a drive
Go get a soda
Call a friend
Take a break from social media
Journal/Blog
Make a gratitude journal
Comment below some of your activities!
Remember - you are amazing!
